The Earth's Early Atmosphere

 It may also interest you to know about a kind of

 experiment first performed by the chemist Stanley

 Miller (and since performed by many others) in which

 a mixture of the gases resembling the Earth's early

 atmosphere (water, hydrogen, methane, ammonia, a

 little hydrogen sulfide) are exposed to electric

SO??? It proves nothing because achieving this sort of accomplishment

in the lab under carefully designed and controlled conditions, and having the

exact same thing (actually something more complex which would include DNA)

occur in an open system apart from any directing intelligence, are two

entirely different things.

There are a number of serious objections to the Miller-Ulrey chemical

experiment, which render the model suspect.

1. The concentrations of methane and ammonia were carefully selected to insure

the production of organic molecules. There is no evidence to suggest that the

earth's "primitive" atmosphere was so characterized. -R.L. Wysong

2.There is no evidence to indicate that the earths early atmosphere was

reducing. There is , however, considerable evidence to suggest that the earth

had an oxidizing atmosphere over most, if not all, of history. -Wilder-Smith,

3. A methane-ammonia reducing atmosphere would be fatal to life forms. R. L.

4. The simulation of lightning by mild spark discharges is unrealistic.

Actual lightning would have destroyed any organics which may have been

present.

5. The molecules produced in the Miller-Urey apparatus would react

detrimentally to life forms which allegedly were trying to evolve.

Chemically, they would destroy all hope of producing life. PArker, Gary.

The fact that it takes the world's greatest intellects utilizing the most

advanced technology to barely unravel the most basic secrets of life only

serves to indicate the necessity for intelligence in the beginning.

Man's childish attempts to create life are completely futile. In fact, even

if scientists were able to produce all of the necessary chemicals in the

required relationships, life still would not result. Anyone who would like to

verify that statement has only to try and raise the dead. The dead already

contain the complex ingredients scientists are attempting to generate (cells,

DNA, enzymes, and so on).

solemn proof that life is a unique supernatural quality not reproducible by

If God is your creator, He's then your Lord and Master. Evolutionist

don't want to give up being their own lord and master.
