THE OBEDIENCE OF JESUS
PSA 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
ISA 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness
the girdle of his reins.
ISA 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify
the law, and make it honourable.
ISA 50:5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither
turned away back.
ISA 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off
the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
MAT 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it
becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
MAT 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed,
saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless
not as I will, but as thou wilt.
MAT 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father,
if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
LUK 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I
must be about my Father's business?
JOH 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work.
JOH 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath
sent me.
JOH 5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the
Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me,
that the Father hath sent me.
JOH 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of
him that sent me.
JOH 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh
his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
JOH 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for
I do always those things that please him.
JOH 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye
not believe me?
JOH 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know
him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
JOH 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night
cometh, when no man can work.
JOH 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father
gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
JOH 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have
kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
JOH 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which
thou gavest me to do.
JOH 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is
finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
PHI 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
HEB 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all
was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
HEB 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of
me,) to do thy will, O God.
HEB 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and
offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are
offered by the law;
HEB 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the
first, that he may establish the second.
