1 Dweller in the shadow of the Most High, who passes the night
in the shadow of the Almighty,
2 You will say to YHWH, "My refuge and my stronghold!  My God,
in whom I trust!"
3 For He will rescue you from the trap of the fowler, and from 
the ruinous plague.
4 With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you
will find shelter.  His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night, or the arrow which
flies by day,
6 Or the plague which walks in darkness, or the destruction 
which devastates at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your
right hand; but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the retribution of
the guilty ones.
9 For you have made YHWH your refuge.  You have made the Most 
High your dwelling.
10 Evil will not befall you, and affliction will not approach
your tent.
11 For he will command his messengers about you, to guard you
in all your paths.
12 On their palms they will lift you up, lest you strike your
foot against the stone.
13 You will step on the lion-cub and the asp; you will trample
the young lion and the serpent.
14 I will bring him to safety because he loves me; I will 
protect him because he knows my name.
15 He will call me, and I will answer him; I will be with him
in distress; I will save him and honor him.
16 With length of days I will satisfy him, and I will show him
my deliverance.
