EARLY WORSHIP
Mark 16:2 (read 1-14)
I. THE WOMEN CAME VERY EARLY TO THE SEPULCHRE
A. Beautiful time of nature
B. Early before minds filled with carnal, mundane things
C. Early so as not to waste time
1. Ben Frankin, "Early to bed..."
2. They had duties to perform on the body of Jesus
D. We are here with a job to do
II. THEY CAME WITH PROBLEMS
A. Jesus was dead (their hopes were dashed)
B. The Jews might also kill them ("fear of the Jews")
C. There was no one to roll the stone away
D. We too, may be loaded down with problems
III. THEY WERE UNAWARE THAT THEIR PROBLEMS WERE ALREADY ANSWERED
A. Jesus was alive--not dead as they thought
B. They were on the winning side against the Jews
C. The stone was already moved out of the way
D. Your mountain may already be moved!
IV. THEIR LOVE AND SERVICE IN SMALL THINGS BROUGHT AN ANSWER
A. Angels spoke to them
B. Christ Himself appeared to them
C. Christ spoke peace to their hearts
D. Not a gardener, but Jesus--is speaking to us today!
