DREAMS COME TRUE ON BEDICO
Psalm 126:1
INTRODUCTION:
A. We know a relatively small amount about dreams
B. Webster Defines a Dream as,
1. A sequence of sensations, images, thoughts, etc. passing
through a sleeping person's mind.
2. A fond hope or aspiration
3. Anything so lovely, charming, transitory, etc. as to seem
dreamlike.
C. What fond hopes do your dreams hold?
D. Will they ever come true?
E. What lovely, dreamlike things are you hoping for?
1. Money & things?
2. Happiness & satisfaction?
3. Real life & spiritual contentment?
F. The Psalmist gives us some insights into dreams
I. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO DREAM
A. Prov. 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish."
B. Numbers 12:6, "If there be a prophet among you, I will make
myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him
in a dream."
C. Jere. 23:28, "The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell
a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word
faithfully."
D. I am dreaming of a REAL REVIVAL taking place here this week.
II. TESTIFY OF YOUR DREAMS (even before they are fulfilled)
A. Joel 2:28, "Your old men shall dream dreams"
B. Aged men have faced the hard times and seen God work
C. The Psalmist describes Israel in Egypt
1. As slaves, they still dreamed of going home
2. Is. 35:6, "in the wilderness shall waters break out,
and streams in the desert."
III. CONTINUE TO WORK WHEN IT SEEMS THAT YOUR DREAMS ARE WASTED
A. Ecc. 5:3, "For a dream cometh through the multitude of
business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words"
B. Talking is the mark of a fool
C. One who gets down to business and work is the one that will
see his dreams come true
D. "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." (v.5)
IV. DREAM OF A FRUITFUL HARVEST
A. A Harvest of Joy
1. "Moving Up" Revival can pull you out of depression
a. "For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty
and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my
spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine
offspring" (Is. 44:3)
b. "Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our
tongue with singing" (v.2)
2. "The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are
glad" (v.3)
3. "Moving Up" Revival can restore the joy of salvation
and "then will I teach transgressors... and sinners
shall be converted." (Ps. 51:13)
B. A Harvest of Souls
1. "He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his
sheaves with him." (v. 6)
2. Is. 43:19, "Behold, I will do a new thing.... I will
even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the
desert."
3. Gen. 17:6, "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and
I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of
thee."
4. The heathen even said, "The Lord hath done great things
for them" (v.2)
V. COMMITMENT:
A. Dream great things of God (He can do anything)
B. Do great things for God (He expects us to work)
C. Expect great things from God (He will bless)
