Acts 2:36

PURPOSE: To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ III. HE PREACHED JESUS'S RESURRECTION (v. 24)

A. He died physically and was buried

INTRODUCTION: 1. "Pilate marveled if he were alreadly dead"

A. Same sermon Peter preached at Cornelius' house (Mk. 15:44)

B. Same that Paul preached at Antioch (Acts 13:17-39) B. It was prophesied that He would rise:

I. HE PREACHED JESUS' LIFE (v.22) 1. Angels at tomb (Mt. 28:6)

A. Integrity (whole), "Went about doing good" (10:38) 2. Mary Magdalene (Jn. 20:18)

B. Concern for others, "Went about... healing all" 3. Peter, 2 on road to Emmaus, & even Christ

C. "Approved of God" (cf. Mt. 17:5, "This is my (Lu. 24:34,35,46)

beloved son, in whom I am well pleased") 4. John (Jn. 21:24) know "testimony is true"

II. HE PREACHED JESUS' DEATH (v.23) 5. Many others (12, 500, James, Paul, etc)

A. He was delivered by the Council D. "This" is the evidence (v. 33)
