BASIC R.C. BELIEF

The Council of Trent defined the Sacrifice of the Mass as a propitiatory

Sacrifice for the sins of the dead and the living.

CHRISTIAN COMMENT

By definition, that which gives satisfaction for wrong, atonement. The

Atoning Work of Christ is our propitiation (Romans 3:25; I John 2:2; 4:10).
