miracles, by Evodius, bishop of Uzalis. Freculphus (apud
Basnage, Hist. des Juifs, tom. viii. p. 249) has preserved a
Gallic or Spanish proverb, "Whoever pretends to have read
all the miracles of St. Stephen, he lies."
