in Amelius, Porphyry, Plotinus, and, as he thinks, in Plato
himself, a superior spiritual hypercosmian soul of the
universe. But this double soul is exploded by Brucker,
Basnage, and Le Clerc, as an idle fancy of the latter
Platonists.
